In 2000, Henk Hofstede was invited to contribute to the Biennale in Lyon. This resulted in the video installation The Portable House. Of course, some of the videofragments were accompanied by songs. The soundtrack of The Portable House became a thing of its own and in the past year it developed into Het Draagbare Huis,Henk's first solo album, entirely sung in Dutch.
Recorded at Henk's home, early 2002. Other instruments and sounds at Werf Studio, winter 2002-03.
